The Teaching Mentor Program For Graduate Students

The Teaching Mentor Program for Graduate Students is a unique opportunity for graduate students to be observed in their personal teaching environment and to receive valuable feedback from peers. The Teaching Mentor Program is one of five components necessary to complete Western’s Certiifcate in University Teaching and Learning. Three graduate students with similar teaching duties will observe one another in a classroom or tutorial setting. Each group is assigned a mentor from our TA Training Program staff who will facilitate two meetings and the scheduling of three teaching observations. Since this Program requires a significant amount of coordination and planning among group members, the Mentor groups are fixed in the first 6 weeks of the term and additional participants cannot be added beyond this point. Thus, early registration is imperative.

Estimated date: Registration in Fall (early registration is imperative)
